I blame [livejournal.com profile] munchkinott for this, but I've really been enjoying Robin Hood. I haven't even watched the first season, and I've only seen the last couple of weeks, but after my mother's brief flirtation with the show (alas she has no staying power and has already abandoned it), I seem to have taken up the torch.

More bizarrely, I really want to write a contemporary AU about it. Wtf!

In other TV news, let's start with A lot of the M3 fans went a bit nuts this week, decrying the lack of M3 action. It's an ensemble show, guys. If you only want to watch Matt, Mohinder and Molly, you've signed up for the wrong type of show. I really enjoyed it, especially the explanation of what happened to Peter and Nathan. It all makes much more sense now. I'm really looking forward to this week's episode, although the previews make me rather fearful, especially combined with the NBC website tag line which suggests that one of our Heroes is going to be making a final exit. Woe!! But I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Still awesome. I read a spoiler thing for the "Blue the janitor" line, which made it marginally less funny when it happened. I also sort of object to the idea that CIA!doctor was a). stupid, and b). had to be fired because House couldn't do his job while she was around. Fire her because she's stupid, sure, but not because he can't control his hormones. That's not fair. I'm glad she's gone though. She was annoying. Overall, still loving House.

Yeah, Sara's gone. Boo hoo. I quite like Sara these days. We had a rocky relationship to start off with, but we made our peace a few years ago, so yeah, joking aside, it's sad to see her go. I get it - life's shit. We should all just give up and die. What, wasn't that the moral? Anyway, nice to see that genius kid back, even if the story didn't make a lot of sense to me. And there were a few "convenient" things, like their parents just happening to die in a car crash. So much of the storyline was setting up for Sara to go, the actual murder hardly got a look in. Not enough Greg either, which is ridiculous in a story about goth kids!! ;) Overall, though, it was okay.

I was concerned, after last week's crappy episode, but this one was penned by Sera Gamble, which immediately set my mind to rest. Perhaps a bit heavy handed in places (e.g. the vampire guy and Dean - yeah, Sera, we get it - Dean's traumatised etc etc. Enough already), but overall I thought it was pretty awesome. And Sam killing Gordon with his bare hands was totally badass. Hehe.

Solid enough episode, I think. The scene where John and Rodney are talking, in "indoor voices", about who's responsible for setting the replicators on the humans of the Pegasus galaxy was lovely. I don't see why Teyla's hiding her pregnancy though, and seriously, who's she kidding? Do they just think she's been hitting the cream cakes? The only reason no one's mentioned it is because they're all socially disabled and probably wouldn't notice if she cut her own arm off. And because it's TV, so people only see what they're allowed to see. Ridiculous. Still, hopefully it won't be long. I loved John's line about his Wraith boyfriend - "we're not dating". He'd totally do you though, John ;) It'll be interesting to see that storyline progress. I know all shows end up doing "getting to know the enemy and realise they have feelings too" episodes (e.g. "I Borg" in Trek), which are sometimes awesome (e.g. "I Borg" in Trek!) and sometimes not so awesome, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt to see where they go with this. Also kudos to [livejournal.com profile] maryavatar, who called the "Replicators attack humans as the Wraith food source" plot weeks and weeks ago. Good call.

So that's been my TV this week. Well, that and Strictly Come Dancing and Robin Hood tonight. I'll just say that Gethin and Camilla was robbed! And if I posted about Robin Hood it would just be lots of squeeing about, well, all of it really.

My mother just sent me an instant message via Googlemail to say that she's found a webcam for a donkey sanctuary she's sent a donation to. God help the Internet.

I think it would probably be initially a). and then b). as the Nazi-like implications settled in.

LOL I know, I was like "..that looks like .. no, come on, just because she's a blonde vampire it doesn't mean .. no wait, it is Harmony!"

Ah man, now I really want some Warren/Tucker.
