I have a question about something in I thought Hermione's middle name was Jane, for some reason, not Jean. Where did that come from?

I looked it up on the Lexicon (http://www.hp-lexicon.org/index-2.html) and it said that JKR had said it at some fan Q&A thing, I think, but it's entirely possible that she *said* Jean and was misheard. Or perhaps she's just changed her mind. Who knows.

Yes, she did - it's on the Lexicon. Who knows? Maybe it's a(nother) mistake.
