a. Post a list of 10 TV fandoms/shows you follow (current or cancelled!)
b. Have your friends list guess your favourite CHARACTER from each show
c. When guessed bold the line and write a sentence about why you like that character
d. Post in your own livejournal.

1. Buffy - Warren. Why do I like Warren? Lord knows. He's basically a selfish, amoral possibly to the point of being sociopathic, misogynistic arsehole. But his reasons make sense, and he's got so much untapped potential. I love him because someone has to.
2. Stargate SG-1 - Daniel. I like season 6, I admit it. The first part sucks, yes, but by the end it had found it's feet. I would've liked to have seen more of Jonas, and even though Meridian still gets me choked up, it doesn't make me weep like a child anymore. That said, Daniel is and remains my favourite character in SG. There's just something special about him. He can mess up and he can be an arse, but he'll always be something special, and he'll always make me stop and watch when I happen across an episode by chance.
3. CSI - Greg. He's *Greg*. He's cute and funny and smart, he works so hard and isn't afraid to feel and react and live and be himself. There's something especially real about Greg that makes him not so much a character as a person.
4. ST: TNG - Geordi. I admit a certain .. weakness for .. *cough*WesleyCrusher*cough*, but his episodes and his season 1 and 2 (and 3 and 4 and..) stuff drives me up the fricking wall, so my favourite overall character is Geordi. There's that whole strength and vulnerability thing again. He's always suffering trauma and angst, he never gets the girl, he's always the third wheel, and he never gets fully appreciated for everything he does. Geordi needs love too, yo.
5. Firefly - Wash. How can anyone not adore Wash? He's just so funny and he loves Zoe so much. He's just wonderful.
6. SG: Atlantis - McKay. I rewatched 48 Hours today. <3 I love how Rodney's developed in Atlantis. He started out in 48 Hours, but everything you see in Atlantis was set up back there in 48 Hours. We're seeing more, but we're seeing what was already there. I just love how different he is, how he expresses himself, and how he reacts to people.
7. The OC - Ryan. It's not because he's "from the wrong side of the tracks, getting by in different society" blah blah. It's because of who he is. He's got such a dry, real sense of humour and his reactions to the things Seth says are priceless. He's so sensible and takes on so much responsibility, but at the same he's just a kid trying to get by without his parents or a family to support him. And now he's not making cow-eyes at Marisa all the time, he's much more interesting to watch.
8. Desperate Housewives - Lynette. I know, everyone else loves Bree. I love Bree too, but even though Bree is dealing with her whole life collapsing and her insane, horrible children, and her selfish pig-bastard of a husband, Lynette has such a real life, real problems that happen every day, and she has to face them every single day. And she does it. It's not always glamorous and it's not always funny, but it's got a truth to it. Also I love how Lynette-the-Advertising-Genius shines through past Lynette-the-mom sometimes. I love how she's made this choice and even though it's really hard and how people look at her and judge her, she keeps going.
9. Due South - RayK. When I heard that they were going to be getting a new Ray, I was stunned and horrified and couldn't imagine it. Within five minutes of the first ep of that season, I was in love, and I've never fallen out of it. I love his vulnerability and I love his strength, I love his relationship with Fraser, I love his interaction with Frannie and Lt Walsh and Huey and Dewey, and I love how he balanced things, changed things, made it all different and brought out a different side of Fraser. Also, he looks just so cute in his glasses *g*
10. ST: DS9 - Julian. My first online fandom was DS9, and my first pairing was Julian/Jadzia. I was one of those insane 15-year-old shippers who thought everyone who disagreed with my pairing (ie. Dax/Worf fans, primarily) was insane. I mostly still think that. Actually I entirely still think that. Dax/Worf? Seriously. WTF?! Anyway, not about that now. I am very fond of Jadzia, but it was really Julian who I loved first. He had such enthusiasm and he always tried as hard as he could, and no one appreciated him at all for the first few years, however hard he tried. I loved watching his relationship with Miles develop, and I loved the J/J we got in the first few years, before The Dorn moved in and ruined everything (*grr grr anger fury rage!*). I loved his early story lines, I loved his mid-range story lines, and I loved his late story lines, particularly the genetic engineering stuff and, yes, the section 31 stuff. Garak/Bashir was the first slash pairing I ever read too. He's got a special place in my heart, has Julian.

This is going to be hard, because for some of them I actually don't know. Hmm. And I've probably forgotten some shows that should be on there, and put on some that are daft. Oh well.

I WAS GOING TO SAY JULIAN BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS TOO OBVIOUS. Because he's, I don't know, more my type of male, lol. Dammit.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOO OBVIOUS WHEN IT COMES TO FAVOURITE CHARACTERS! I loved Julian from the very first episode to the very last episode and beyond. <3

Someone told me once I shouldn't be attracted to him because he is unmanly, and I smacked them. And it was a het boy so what would he know?

Boys are stupid about these things. You should've been like, "dude, just because you like your boys oiled, naked and lifting weights, doesn't mean we all do." He'd probably never have spoken to you again, but it would've been funny.

It went like this:

Him: There are no muscles on that chest!
Me: There are no breasts on that chest either, so who are you to judge?

He used to tell people the story saying that I knocked him sideways with that comeback. I don't know if it was *that* good, though. I reckon yours was better, but I was under pressure, you know?
