Missing files, Boris, and the Flames

I was all set to redesign my LJ layout tonight - redo the colour scheme, change the text, put up a new background picture. Unfortunately, the picture I wanted to use, a picture of "me" someone on my very first mailing list drew for me many years ago, is not on this computer. There are a few things that I thought were on here that aren't, actually. Old music videos and stuff. It's rather annoying. So, no LJ redesign. *sigh* I'm so bored of this layout.

I'm going home for the weekend tomorrow morning, to look after the cat while TMO is away. My computer, however, is staying here, so I will be out of touch for the weekend.

There are more things I was going to say, but my throat is sore today and I'm hungry, so I will limit myself to my current favourite subject, using a quote from Boris Johnson's (assistant's) blog:

Me, upon reading the above today: "That's so sneaky. It's because he's the Minister for Magic! ... Oh, no, wait .. Fanfic, not real, oops."

I need to get a life *g* Oh, speaking of life, we went to the ice hockey last night - the third of a best of three semi final against Fife. Fife beat us last Saturday, and I thought all was lost, but we beat them on Sunday! So a third match was played on Thursday and, perfect birthday present, we won 6-3! So we are through to the final! Woo! I can't see the first or second of the final matches because I'm at home on Saturday, and the second match is in Dundee, but I'm going to the third one next Wednesday. Sweet :)
