Oh, just before I really do go to bed (the Lords are currently discussion the report of the Africa Commission), I bought an Independent this morning and, while working my way through it on the train to work, was most amused to come across this story, about the Frozen Dead Guy Day I saw mentioned on my flist the other day. They even had the same picture of the festival poster. Fantastic stuff *g*

Like I said, my hometown is famous. :-P Though I don't know what dork wrote that article, since the mayor of Nederland is Chris Perret (aka Dr. Fixit, who runs the local garage), not Bryan Brown (aka...uh, person I have never heard of.) Nor has Nederland ever been "redolent of back-woods America" (it's the most green party, new-age, hippie town you'll ever find in Colorado) and our paper is frequently full of ski accidents, drug overdoses, locals winning national awards, and rowdy bikers, not "record fish catches and plans to prevent forest fires" as the article writer seems to think. Though I do recommend going to see "Grandpa's Still in the Tuff Shed" if it shows near you.

Oh, and they spelled Morstøl's name wrong. Haha, your newspaper is dumb. :-P They should hire me as a freelance reporter.

They should entirely hire you. And me too. Hurrah! I would check my facts. You should email them and complain about their inaccuracies, make them publish a correction. That would amuse me greatly.
