Have just moved the first lot of stuff into my new room. Yay :) I think I'm going to like it there. I mentioned my Stargate DVDs. "Oh, Stargate?" said T, the landlord. Hehe. Might take them up, just because. Also, TMO provided this wonderful anecdote:

Me: I'm not bringing all my Stargates.
T: Oh, Stargate? DVDs or videos?
Me: DVDs.
TMO: Yes, she's bringing lots of DVDs. But not those videos, those ones in the wardrobe! Hahaha!
Me: ???!!??!
TMO: Haha, I'm sure you've seen those before! Hahaha! *thinks: I am so funneh, hah!*
T: ?!? *thinks: lesbian porn?*
Me: It's X-Files! X-Files videos! My god, it sounds obscene when you say it that way, but they're just X-Files videos!

So that was fun. T has the broadband box and things, but he's halfway through reading the manual (me: Manual? Haha, I mock your manual. Let's just take it all out of the box and plug some stuff into stuff and see what works!) and is away at the weekend, so it likely won't be up and running until next weekend. But I've got a working phone line, so I'll be on, just stuck on the dial-up still. Other than that, it's all good. I met another new resident too, S, who is living in one of the smaller rooms upstairs. I'm going to back permanently on Thursday, so for tonight and tomorrow I'll just have to make the best use possible of having cable TV *g*

Heh, thanks :) I hope it is as cool as it sounds. I think it'll work out, after a week or two's adjustment period, during which I will likely be on dial up still. But after that, yay! And all the other stuff too, obviously, because it's not all about the broadband .. *cough* ;)
