Flathunting, or not

Updating my earlier post - we've looked more closely at all the agency documents and stuff, and while I can probably just about cover the rent and the deposit, I can't afford all the agency deposits and fees and charges and god only knows what else. So in short - I am fucked. Don't know what to do at all. Live in a cardboard box, maybe? Fuck it. Why is nothing ever simple.

ETA: Also, I was going to donate to the DEC appeal, but I just checked out their website and one of the member organisations is WorldVision, which, according to my most learn-ed mother (and their own website, I think), is mostly about spreading evangelical Christianity. I don't think I really want my hard-earned cash helping to spread the word of Jesus to those poor people in Asia. If they want to believe in it, fine, that's their thing, but I want to buy them blankets and water, not bibles and lessons in why we're all going to burn in Hell. *frown* I think I'll donate directly to the Red Cross or something.

I got a new mobile phone today (hurrah!), but I can't remember who here has my number, so drop me a comment and I'll set up a filter or something. It's all shiny and silver and little and it takes pictures. I am so easily pleased :)

TMO sent out a distress email last night, and La Familia moved into action re: the housing situation. We saw a flat in Farnham today (too expensive), and my aunt saw another one that's already gone. But things are moving, at least, and I'm going to have to phone a bunch of people tomorrow to see if anywhere's still available.

Again, I ask - does anyone live in or near West London? Come on, you know you want to live with me *big smile* I'm small and cute and stuff. Hey, it could work. Anyway, things are generally a bit more positive than they seemed last night. Last night was just "oh woe depression woe woe woe" whining, so ignore that.

My iPod should be coming on Tuesday or Wednesday, I think. Yay :)
