iPod, flat hunting, and CSI (of course)
Jan. 8th, 2005 07:27 pmAha! So Apple told me that my new iPod would take 5 days to "build", and then 3-7 days to arrive through the post. Today - and keep in mind that I only ordered it last night - today they emailed to let me know that it's been *dispatched* and should arrive in 2-3 days! I <3 Apple :) I'm so converting to Macs next time I buy a new PC, yo.
In other news, we went to Camberley and Bracknell today to look for flats. I was not overwhelmed by Bracknell but Camberley is nice, so I'm going to try and find somewhere there. It's very expensive, and I'm not earning much, but I don't really have any choice, unless I'm willing to houseshare with a bunch of strangers, which I am not.
We started watching season 2 of CSI too today. It's good, going through them all again having seen up to halfway through season 5. Like today's was the first ep of s2, which was the first Sam Braun ep (iirc), which takes on so much more meaning when you've seen up to the end of season 3 and suchlike. Great stuff :) TMO is enjoying it too, actually. She's always laughing at Greg and I suspect she has developed a weakness for Nick, which shows clear good taste on her part. It's all good. We survived quite well today, with the help of lots of calming breaths and some chocolate. My hopes remain high of finding somewhere to live before the 24th or so. Hopefully at least a few days before so the paperwork can be got underway and I can move in asap.
