T minus one hour to driving lesson number 4. I wonder if I'll ever stop being nervous about driving.

That is true. At the moment I mostly feel reassured that my instructor is there, because he's got a set of peddles and won't let me knock down any pedestrians (!!) but it's also more scary because there's someone there watching my every move! Literally. He has these mirrors all over the car so he can watch my eyes and stuff.

Hm. I'm going to go away and stop thinking about that now. It'll just be a very weird lesson otherwise. ;)

You're right. It's really a very enhanced form of performance/test anxiety.

Best just to acknowledge it and then ignore it. *g*

Totally :) In a way, I'd much rather feel nervous and take care over preparations, making sure I get things right, learning it all carefully etc., rather than diving in without care. I don't want to learn to pass my test, I want to learn to drive. And I think I am :)
