emonyBrook quits Strictly Come Dancing
Actress and model Kelly Brook has pulled out of BBC One show Strictly Come Dancing following the death of her father on Monday.
The 28-year-old had vowed to continue rehearsals for Saturday's live show in his memory, but found it "too difficult", said a BBC spokeswoman.
It's obviously very sad for Kelly, and I think perhaps it was unfortunate that they didn't explain last week that part of the reason for their poor performance and lack of practice time was her father's very serious illness.
That said, I never really liked her, so I'm quite glad she's gone. She was a bit of a Zoe Ball in that the judges love her dancing but a lot of the public hate her because she's apparently completely brain dead and her dancing consists mostly of being pulled around the floor by her partner.
It's unfortunate, obviously, that she's had to go out this way, and bad for the show, as they'll now have only two couples in the finale, not three, but it gives my favourites - Matt, Gethin and Alesha - a much better chance of winning! Though sadly not all competing in the finale together.
