Omg most scary moment evah! :( I was just trying to fit my old hard drive into my new computer, as a secondary drive. When I pressed the "on" button, nothing happened. Bit weird, but I thought I'd just wired it up wrong, as it's different to my old compute. But no - when I opened it up again, I realised that I'd knocked one of the tiny little power connectors things on the motherboard. For a few terrifying seconds I thought I'd broken one of the tiny metal pins. It'd actually just come off, and two of them were a little bent. I think I've fixed it now, but it did just freeze up, which it's not done before. I'm trying to stay calm though, as they all crash from time to time. As long as it doesn't do it as frequently as the old one, we're okay. For now, though, I think I'll stay out of the CPU.

Jesus. I need stiff drink. My hands are shaking. Ahrg!

Also ex-work colleague Beth is supposed to be visiting us today. Flatmate Natalie was due back an hour and a half ago, and Beth was due half an hour ago. Perhaps she cancelled? I don't know. I'm quite glad they didn't arrive mid-disaster though. Although, of course, if they'd been on time I probably wouldn't have done it at all. AHRG!
