So, if, while at the BSG con in August, I were to book a ticket for Peg3, would anyone come with me?

Also, Connotations anyone?

I feel the need to commune with the fandom. I think it's because I'm not at ComicCon and it sounds like fun.

I'm also going to get around to writing that fic rec post soon. I promise. No, really.

Connotations sounds v interesting, and also is pertinent to my new PhD proposal! And my old one. And the thesis I'll just have finished. So pertinent in general, really. My only problem is cash, but leave it with me and I'll see what I can work out.

Cool :) We'd have a wicked time at Connotations, I can tell. It'd be cheaper than a regular con too - no guests, no autographs. Obviously there's the hotel and travel, but .. well, we'll see, eh? :)

I'm well up for going to Connotations this year. We did talk about it last year as well didn't we. £25 registration and £53.50 for the hotel per night including all meals. And it'll be close to me because I'll be in Hull then.

I can probably also be convinced for Peg 3!

I found flights for €5.99 and €0.01 on Ryanair to Newcastle. How would one get from Newcastle to the con hotel? Are they close? Also, that price for the hotel includes all meals - pretty impressive! I am definitely considering going, seeing as how I'm not going anywhere else this year at all. A slash con might be just the thing. *g*

Hmm. *strokey beard moment* I will do some sums and then we can decide whether or not to go. A whole weekend full of like-minded slashers without the stress of having to meet famous people sounds like heaven!

Man, that's way cheaper than my flights would be (£50 is the cheapest I've found so far.

Yeah, I'm thinking that booking them soon would be an idea to get that price. I will sleep on it for a couple of nights and then decide whether or not I can go. Then you, me and Cee can have a pow wow. How's that?

And also, I have another idea re the cheque. How about we wait till we decide whether or not we're going to Connotations, and if we are, you can buy my ticket as it will be easier for you with your sterling chequebook, and if we decide not to go you can send me the cheque at that point. Does that work for you?

I think I'll have a hunt around to see what's the best way to get a decent priced train/plane/coach etc. It'll give me something to do at work over the long, boring month of August when we have nothing else to do ;) I'm definitely happy to go if you two are, but let me know when you've decided and we can all have a chat and see what's what.

I'm going to be at Peg3 (as davechicken has already pointed out ::g::) and at Connotations too.

Won't be staying at the hotel because, as you know, I only live 12 miles away, but I've already arranged for Nibble to stay with his father that weekend. Which I suppose means I need to give moonlettuce some money ::g::
