If we can find two other people to share a hotel with, and go for the whole nine nights you can get the cheaper hotel rate for, it isn't even that expensive (considering what you get from it). Mind you, Las Vegas in late July? Ouch sunburn and/or heatstroke.
Yeah, it always comes back to the funding. *sigh* Wait .. I have a job, I'm okay. Heh. But yeah, but then? I'm sure you'll have one, no worries. You'll probably have been in place for six months at least, and you'll be raking it in too. The drinks will be on you at the hotel bar.
A few minor drawbacks to that plan - the deadness of you being one (flight home would be v lonely) - but getting to meet the CSIs? Might be worth it. *eg* ;)
I don't do too well in the heat either. I find England a bit too warm at times, and long for the cooler climes of Siberia or something. *G* We'll just have to spend all our time hiding out in the hotel, and drinking lots. Of water.
I'm sure you wouldn't really have died of starvation. There are always charities, and stealing, after all. ;P
That too is an important point. Although really, I'd put a peg on my nose and let the CSI get on with sniffing you to see why you were dead. "Aliens made them do it" as an established subgenre of slash fic (and het, I think..) - I don't see why "ghosts made them do it" shouldn't be the next big thing! In fact, I don't see why it isn't a thing already. It sounds v cool to me.
My office is cold here, so I'm rather anti-air-con now, and more pro-blankets and hot drinks. Brrrr.
