I was at the All Party Parliamentary Media Group reception tonight, and I felt like I ought to make an effort. Which was a mistake - ouch. No one looked at my feet anyway.
I knew today was going to be crap when I woke up at 5.30am to the sound of cats fighting outside my window. I have just ended the day by stabbing myself in the finger with a dirty needle. God hates me, dude. He hates me. :( On the upside, said needle did sort out the blisters on one of my feet.
omg, you actually got puncturable blisters! That sucks. :( Are these shoes new? They are the shoes of Satan! Or the shoes of God being cruel, I'm not sure.
They're so annoying. They won't go away. They're just stuck there. Stupid blisters. They aren't new, but I don't wear them often, and I don't wear heals often, so my feet aren't used to it. And now I must be off to bed. Have to be up at 5.30am tomorrow to get the train at 6.30am. Eugh :P
Poor thing. I have never understood the world's fascination with women wearing heals. But then, I'm the wears-combat-boots-with-cocktail-dresses type. At the moment, I'm praying that no formal events pop up anytime soon, as I no longer own any bras and my only pair of heals are lime green with sparkles. Shiny! :-P
I'm lucky really - I can wear my trainers to work every day. It's just when we do events, especially now taht I have to go to all the events, I have to wear nice shoes. And they hurt. Ouch :( Today, however, I wore my DMs. They're black - no one can complain, imo.
Heels suck. I have a relatively dressy pair of Birkenstocks I wear when I need dressy shoes. Otherwise, I just end up taking the heels off and hobbling.
R who I work with has some Birkenstocks. They look so comfy. I've never seen any in the shops though. I'll have to look next time I'm forced to shoe shop.
