Olympics?

I'm getting oddly enthused by the whole Olympic decision thing. Up until now, I've been all, "well, it'd be kinda cool if we got it, but we won't, so whatever". But now, it almost seems possible that we might beat Paris and win the bid. Which - and it feels odd to say this - would kick ass.

Mind you, if we do win it, I'll be 30 by the time it happens. Wtf? On that score, I'd rather not think about it at all.

Also? Paris will probably win. Ah well. Can always hop on the Eurostar.

I feel kind of.. both ways about it.

I want them to come to London because it would be kind of cool and money would be pumped in for it and from it (tourists et al).

But part of me wants to watch the HUGE let down if London loses, because it's all that's been on the news since Sunday and I'm almost sick of it. I just get some evil kick out of seeing the faces deflate when something like this type of bad news happens.

Lke Manchester had a few years back only worse cos London actually stands a chance.

It's evil. But sometimes it's fun. :)
