And then there's the BBC website description, "Labour's Truly Madly Deeply film", of the bit on their election blog about the party election broadcast last night. ETA: And a bit from The Guardian too.

1). Labour apparently want us to believe that Tony <3 Gordon 4 evah. I suppose it's a better vision to give than that they hate each other. Unless you actually have to envision it, 'cause .. no thanks :P

2). The BBC find this hilarious and are giggling and squeeing about it like .. well, like we crazy fangirls.

I wish I'd seen the broadcast now. I wonder if it's up on the Labour party website?

ETA: It is.

Ahah, yes. I do hope so. Much amusement to be had during long days at the office by scaring colleagues with that sort of thing *eg*

I saw a bit of the broadcast by accident and it was indeed much soft focus Gordon and Tony reminiscing about times past. Kind of sweet, actually!

But then I was already going to vote Labour and am a confirmed perv, so I'm not sure how I fit into their target demographic. ;)

We watched it today at work, from the Labour party website. It almost won me over with its soft-focus, tugging-at-the-liberal-heart-strings message of hope and social justice and "we'll be better next time, honest guv. We still believe in this stuff!" Except there was also some New Labour in there too, and Tony's tie was mysteriously appearing and disappearing at random intervals, so the brainwashing didn't quite take. Which is fortunate, as I need to vote tactically here to try and get the Tories out.

Their matching breakfasts and breakfast outfits scare me.

They are a bit much, aren't they. Like they got dressed that morning using each other as a mirror.
