emonyFour day weekend, hurrah! It feels distinctly "end of term" today, despite the fact that we only have four days off, and two of them are the weekend anyway. R and J are both away already, so things are quite quiet around here. Which is nice :)
I feel like I ought to use my bank holidays for something useful. I renewed my trains season ticket this morning (oops! I thought it ran out today - it ran out yesterday!), so I've got four days worth of train travel when I don't need them. I ought to use at least one of them somehow, like going up to London to visit the Tate Gallery or something. Knowing me, however, I will likely use Friday and Monday (and probably Saturday and Sunday too) to sleep, and possibly play a bit of The Sims. Heh.
Also, we have this fabulous little book here at work that we just got a few days ago - it's a "parliamentary companion" which lists every MP and Lord and a whole lot of officials too, alphabetically according to House/Department, and by constituency, and all sorts of clever things. It's sitting on my desk atm, and I keep staring at it covetously and thinking about how I can "borrow" it and "forget" to bring it back. It's a sad life. In my defence, it also has a shiny red cover! Whee! :D
