emonyMy boss called me "sweetie" today. I think it was paternal, but it's a bit hard for me to tell as I have no frame of reference for paternal behaviour.
Our seminar and reception yesterday went well, by all accounts. I saw Ruth Kelly and David Blunkett!! Was very exciting. David Blunkett we just saw from behind the door - he was going in next door to some posh dinner - but Ruth Kelly actually came in to our seminar for a few minutes, and as she was walking in she smiled at us and as she was leaving she said goodbye! Very cool :) I also nicked a napkin with the House of Commons logo on it. Hehe. I am so sad.
I worked my arse off today, getting speakers and a chair formy the seminar we are organising about children and nutrition. It's not "my" seminar anymore. It never was really, but I'd got so involved in it, I forgot that N is working on it too, and now that he's finished with the one that was on Monday, he's ready to get going with some of this one. Which is good really, because I am pretty knackered with it all, and I can't do everything myself, but .. it was my baby, and now it isn't :( I am pleased though, because I managed to convince a particular person to be a speaker, and I think I've got a chair. Yay me :) I think this seminar's going to be really good. I have a feeling.
I'm sure I have more stuff I could talk about. I don't want to be one of those boring f***ers who only ever talks about their job when no one else gives a crap.
Oh, I wanted to say thank you again for the feedback I got for my Atlantis story. It was really encouraging to get so many comments, and it meant a lot to me that you all took the time to let me know you'd read it.
And now, CSI, and I can tell who's who!! :D
