I have to admit at work it was the major topic of conversation- so I suppose some people must consider it is important! Sod knows why- enough already- but still it seems to be important to some.
We talked about it for about five seconds, ("work outing to Winsor to wave some flags?" J suggested. We all laughed, and that was it), but then we were quite busy today. It is sort of important, in the sense of constitution matters and suchlike, and even just in a gossipy sort of way, but lead news story all day? That's a bit much.

Exactly. I was most surprised when it stayed top story all day, though I must admit I was glad when it bumped a story about Tory party crime policy right off the newsstands.
yeah, it's that bad. I'm pretty sure there's been something in the news about nuclear weapons too but what the hell.. they're GETTING MARRIED, that's liek.. so more important!
apparently though, according to the sky news poll, 64% of people are against the marriage. Personally I'm with most of the other 36% and just don't give a crap.
It really is. They keep trying to make it about Serious Constitutional Implications, but in the end what you've got is Jeremy Paxman scowling and arguing about whether anyone's going to turn up to see The Big Day, and what Camilla's frock might be like, and whether it's *right*, after poor dear Diana (maysherestinpeace) and so on and so fricking forth.
