Job, TMO, and I'm a Celebrity!
Dec. 2nd, 2004 11:22 pmAhahaha, Anna recced Tropez at
crack_van. There is not enough love in the world, yo <3
As you can tell, I am home again. The train journey was fine - only an hour from Basingstoke, which isn't bad at all. TMO is being "helpful", which is rather annoying.
The conversation has been something like this:
TMO: How long does the train to Hertford take?
Me: Don't know, about three or four hours? Depends whether I go to North or East.
TMO: Which are you going to?
Me: I don't know yet.
TMO: So what time is the train?
Me: I don't know yet, I have to look it up tonight.
TMO: What train are you getting in London?
Me: I don't know yet, I have to look it up tonight, like I just said.
TMO: What time does the London train go?
Me: I don't know yet!
TMO: Have you looked up the train times?
Me: Oh my god, do you even listen to a word I say, or do you just hear white noise when my mouth is moving?!
TMO: It's the Circle Line in London.
Me: Yes, I realise that. I'm 22, and quite capable of reading an underground map, ta for your confidence.
TMO: And what time does the train go?
Me: OMG! *murder murder blood and death*
It's not good, yo. Not good at all. Commuting from home to work is *so* not an option ever, and if I ever suggest it, I want you all to remind me of this conversation.
Ironic as my life is, I've been asked to another interview, for a job in Westminster. Doesn't that sound cool? Hehe. I've got to try and figure out how on earth I'm going to get another day off so soon after this one, and preferably without working three 11 hour days. I'll see how tomorrow goes first, and get back to the other job on Monday, at some point. God, when did I get so busy!
I still have absolutely no information on this job I'm being interviewed for tomorrow. It doesn't exactly inspire faith when a company doesn't reply to emails for a week, especially important ones about interviews and stuff. But still, I've arranged the time off and everything now, so I might as well go up and see how things go.
Also, I've .. uh .. *cough* I've been watching "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!" I know. I can't help it, there's nothing else to do in my little B&B room! Really, it's quite disturbing. I'm not sure whether I'm watching for the Ant/Dec, the Joe/Paul, or the emu babies (no, I am sure really, it's the emu babies - omg so cute!) but I am watching. Darn it all.
