So I just watched the preview for this week's CSI, and there was a familiar blonde woman. "Hm," thought I. "I know that face." So I imdb-ed her (which apparently is something Hollywood actors and actresses now do before they decide who they're going to date - weird much?) and discovered that it is Louise Lombard, who probably no one but me will remember from the BBC period drama series The House of Eliott, back in the early 90s, I think. It's going to be very strange, I won't be able to concentrate at all. She'll be running around doing CSI type things, and I'll be going, "Evie? Evie! What are you doing! Stop that, and go back to your dress designing and being slightly ahead of your time, your time being 1920s London! And stop speaking in that accent! Where's your received pronounciation?!" Strangeness! There are just some crossovers that are not meant to be, and I think this is one of them.

Oh, I remember House of Elliot. I loved it, at least early on when they were struggling. I sort of went off it when Jack and the other sister started to have marital problems ::yawn::

So it won't just be you :)

Yes, I loved it the first year or so, and then it went off a bit, but it was still a good show to sit down and watch on a Sunday evening. I'm glad I won't be the only one freaked out by her sudden transformation! *g*

Any relation to Carole Lombard or just accidentally same name?

I think it's just a coincidence, but you never know.

Excellent, when my sister is watching the ep (whenever it finally airs here in Oz), hopefully I'll remember this when we're racking our brains to place the guest star *g*. Loved the House of Elliot (well, the early seasons, later ones weren't so good).

Hehe. I only realised because I saw the actresses name listed somewhere and went to IMDB to find out who she was. It's good to know I won't be spending the whole ep going ".. who *is* that woman!?" It's also good to know that I'm not the only person who liked the House of Eliott! :)

It was a great show, and not just for the gorgeous fashions *drool*.

I once went for a wee in a costume museum in Bath, came out of the stall and found her in full costume washing her hands!

Woah. Now that would be a scary crossover. But also rather cool *g*

I loved the House of Eliot. The external shots of the house were filmed in a square in Bristol. I have a horrific memory of my mother finding the house and doing a flapper dance on the steps...

Louise Lombard is one of my boyfriends lust objects! :) I'll have to tell him to start watching CSI.

Hah, I can imagine my mother doing exactly the same thing.

I think she's only going to be in the one CSI episode, and I don't know when it'll show over here, but when I see it in the listings, I'll try to remember to give you shout *g*
