I read what may have been the first Due South story I've ever made it all the way through last night, and it put me in a Due South mood this morning, so I watched Call of the Wild again tonight. I love my show :) I love RayK and I love Fraser and I love the canon riding off into the sunset together ending. I love it all :) But, for the first time ever, I made it all the way through the final episode without crying. I think it's because I was in a generally positive frame of mind when I started watching it, and because it's been a while since I saw any Due South, so it was all good. I so love that show! :) May have to look for more fic tonight.

I messed around with my layout picture a bit, so it should fit into an IE window as well as an Opera window now. Well, my size of Opera and IE windows anyway. Can't please everyone, after all. God only knows what it looks like on Netscape *g*

I watched CSI season 4, ep .. something, "Getting Off", tonight. Nick and Warrick were in about one scene, towards the end, (I think), but otherwise it was quite good. And the drug addict girls made me think of season 6 of Buffy - all that stuff with Willow and Rack. When he was calling her "Strawberry"? He was so not referring to the way she "tasted", yo. It's all good research for DM AU though. I do end up shouting at the TV when Catherine goes off with Krycek though. "Don't do it Cath, don't do it!" She never listens.

I saw this week's Stargate ep as well, although I missed Atlantis because it clashed with CSI. Well, it was Daniel's 100 Days, complete with macking on someone else's wife, except the husband was still alive and far more interesting that Mrs Softly Softly, So Gentle and Feminine I Should Be Doing Commercials for Sanitary Towels. Anyway, yeah, it was .. it passed the time, I suppose. The timeframe was confusing, and it would've been far better if we hadn't known all the way through that Daniel was alive. There's this thing called "tension", guys. Go look it up - yes, Damien Kindler, I'm looking at you. The best thing about it was Jack, by miles. RDA is really good this season. I think he likes being a General *g*

The plot was just a number of threads they've done before - warring continents with psuedo-alien names, WMDs, Cold Wars, consequences of SG1's actions (although none of it is ever their fault, oc), and so on. Nothing special really. I think I recognised the set of the house from Gamekeeper, back in season 3. The place where Jack and Teal'c were, from Jack's memories, with the van. It looked familiar anyhow, and since I've never been to Vancouver, I think that was why.

So, yeah. It was all right. Not amazing, but not too bad.

Ooooh no! I hate the ending of Call of the Wild! The whole voiceover part ... if it ended just before that, all would be good.

Letting Go and North (North especially) are still my favourite eps :D And DS is the one and only show that I can't fast forward through the theme tune. It gives me chills and makes me feel 10 again!

They're very silly, and they preclude quite a lot of fanfic endings and fixits, but I usually find myself laughing at the voice-over bit through my tears *g*

I don't think I could possibly pick a favourite episode, or even a favourite season. I always think I love 3 the best, but then I rewatch 1 and 2 and I find a whole new love for Ray Vecchio. There are so many great episodes. I always loved All the Queen's Horses, for its Fraser/Thatcher stuff, and Victoria's Secret was just fantastic. Damn, I want to go and rewatch it all now! That theme tune is brilliant. I have the second CD album, so it's on there, and it's one of the few albums where I listen to all the instrumentals, because they're just that good.

I never really liked season three much. DS was the show of mine and [livejournal.com profile] youngdavid's childhood, we used to get to school the day after an ep aired and discuss it ... and *cough* act it out. But it *was* primary school! :D

North is the one that always stuck out as our favourite because ... well, to be honest, I don't really know why. And the thing we loved about Letting Go was the "Even Stevens." "Even Stevens? Nobody says that any more." "Really? Why." "It's juvenile." "Oh dear."

:)

Also They Eat Horses, Don't They and Diefenbaker's Day Off are eps I love. And ... yes, Victoria's Secret. Season one is definitely my favourite, and North is practically season one, anyway...:D
