Nov. 7th, 2004 12:06 amI read what may have been the first Due South story I've ever made it all the way through last night, and it put me in a Due South mood this morning, so I watched Call of the Wild again tonight. I love my show :) I love RayK and I love Fraser and I love the canon riding off into the sunset together ending. I love it all :) But, for the first time ever, I made it all the way through the final episode without crying. I think it's because I was in a generally positive frame of mind when I started watching it, and because it's been a while since I saw any Due South, so it was all good. I so love that show! :) May have to look for more fic tonight.
I messed around with my layout picture a bit, so it should fit into an IE window as well as an Opera window now. Well, my size of Opera and IE windows anyway. Can't please everyone, after all. God only knows what it looks like on Netscape *g*
I watched CSI season 4, ep .. something, "Getting Off", tonight. Nick and Warrick were in about one scene, towards the end, (I think), but otherwise it was quite good. And the drug addict girls made me think of season 6 of Buffy - all that stuff with Willow and Rack. When he was calling her "Strawberry"? He was so not referring to the way she "tasted", yo. It's all good research for DM AU though. I do end up shouting at the TV when Catherine goes off with Krycek though. "Don't do it Cath, don't do it!" She never listens.
I saw this week's Stargate ep as well, although I missed Atlantis because it clashed with CSI. Well, it was Daniel's 100 Days, complete with macking on someone else's wife, except the husband was still alive and far more interesting that Mrs Softly Softly, So Gentle and Feminine I Should Be Doing Commercials for Sanitary Towels. Anyway, yeah, it was .. it passed the time, I suppose. The timeframe was confusing, and it would've been far better if we hadn't known all the way through that Daniel was alive. There's this thing called "tension", guys. Go look it up - yes, Damien Kindler, I'm looking at you. The best thing about it was Jack, by miles. RDA is really good this season. I think he likes being a General *g*
The plot was just a number of threads they've done before - warring continents with psuedo-alien names, WMDs, Cold Wars, consequences of SG1's actions (although none of it is ever their fault, oc), and so on. Nothing special really. I think I recognised the set of the house from Gamekeeper, back in season 3. The place where Jack and Teal'c were, from Jack's memories, with the van. It looked familiar anyhow, and since I've never been to Vancouver, I think that was why.
So, yeah. It was all right. Not amazing, but not too bad.
