Success! :) After yesterday's utter shopping failure, we hit Gunwharf Quays this morning, which proved itself against my criticisms of earlier this week that it was overrated by providing a suit, shoes, a new bag, and trainers! Awesome :) Thank you Austin Reed, among others. I always thought it was a menswear shop, but no. And not only that, because it's Gunwharf it was an outlet shop, with a sale on. Awesome :) And my boots were outlet price, and my bag, and my trainers too.

In other news, I've been meaning to post about all the shows I've been watching, but I just haven't got around to it. So here's a general post about everything, with some spoilers for aired things, and only one specific spoiler for things in SGA that haven't aired yet, which I believe everyone knows already because it's fairly unavoidable, but beware if you're utterly and entirely unspoiled.

So .. let's start with I'm still watching CSI, and it's okay, and I've been enjoying it, but not really in a fannish way. You know how there are some shows you just watch, but don't get fannish about? I'm in that place with CSI. I like that there are occasional scenes with both Nick and Greg (after that season 5 and 5 drought, it's v welcome!), I'm okay with the Sara/Grissom stuff. I thought the proposal was quite cute. I like that they seem to be edging in a tiny bit of Catherine/Warrick again, even though it probably won't go anywhere, and it is a shame that Warrick's marriage never actually seemed to achieve anything. The storylines are okay, and the background characters are fine. So yeah, that's fine. Not earth-shattering, but fine.

Hm. I was okay with Supernatural until this week's episode. Which was .. well. Crap is the only word really. The relationshippy stuff between the boys (ie. Sam struggling to deal with Dean's impending death, Dean struggling to deal with Sam struggling with Dean's impending death, etc.) was good, but the rest was rubbish. That annoying guest star woman ticked just about every box on the annoying chart. The only box she missed was the one where she tries to steal one of the boys away from the other. Because yeah, Dean would do her, but he'd smile and leave her the next morning. But she did hit a lot of the other boxes, starting with doing that stupid fake British accent. Which is ridiculous, because she is actually British. She did her drama training at Winchester Uni (ironic, no?) But she puts on that bloody awful American-faking-a-British-accent thing, which is so stupid. She also did that thing where she fills in every blank in the story - need someone to explain what's going on? She does it. Need someone to find the solution? She does it. Need someone to take all the action within the storyline? Yes, that's her too. Sam and Dean basically stood around and looked pretty, or in Sam's case stood around getting assaulted by a horny old woman! I'm sorry, but if that had been an 80 year old man feeling up a 25 year old woman against her will, it would've been disgusting. Because it's an 80 year old woman we're supposed to find it funny? No. Really, no. So yeah, SPN didn't win any prizes this week, except possibly the "most disappointing show of the week" prize, or the "must try harder" prize. But before this week's, it's been okay. So I'll keep watching.

Speaking of things I will or won't keep watching - Studio 60. I watch this one on TV. We were up to around episode 12 or something, I think. I haven't watched it this week. Or last week. Because it's appalling shit. The final straw, for me, was when Jordan, having been stalked by Danny for several weeks because she's pregnant and he wants to play daddy, goes from rejecting his creepy stalking proposals to "i wuv u 2 lets get marryd yay!" within the space of one evening! WTF! She was the last character remaining character I had a single shred of sympathy with, and they knocked it right out from under me. So yeah. I've stopped watching. And I'm glad it got cancelled. Good decision, NBC. Good decision. And you know? I've not seen much of 30 Rock, but it does that concept SO MUCH BETTER! Learn lessons, Studio 60 guys. And do not make those mistakes again.

I still love House. House makes me so happy. I'm not sure I like this new spunky woman doctor who turned up this week and seems set to join House's team (that being the team in his pants! And the medical team, yawn yawn). She seems a bit trying too hard by the writers. It's also sad because it means one less of the potentials will get a job at the end. Woe! :( I like all of them. I was sad to see Medicine Sans Frontiers!Guy go. I liked him. I know he went a bit unexpectedly nuts at the end, which was .. odd, but apart from that craziness, I thought he was cool. I like 13, and Cutthroat Bitch. I like the Moron Guy, and Thrill Junkie guy. I like them all, actually, and it's sad that most of them will be gone soon. I miss Carmen Argenziano too. He was great, as always. But yeah, very happy with House.

SGA is still making me happy too. I enjoyed this week's episode. I didn't expect to, but Teyla was kicking ass, which was cool (not usually my thing, but I did enjoy it this time), and Keller was understandable. That would be me, you know? If I went off onto the programme, I'd be that too - not as fit as all the soldiers, not wanting to eat the gross animal guts etc. I wouldn't have made that much fuss about crossing the rope bridge, and I wouldn't have fallen off it! But apart from that, yeah, it made sense. Mostly, though, I'm just totally excited about Teyla's pregnancy. I knew she was going to be, obviously, because of Rachel's pregnancy, but I didn't know any of the details. But which I mean the father of her baby. It's pretty cool. I hope the Athosians aren't all dead though :( Presumably they'll find them at some point later in the season, or at least search for them. Poor Teyla, not knowing what happened to the father of her baby. It's heartbreaking. I also loved that the description of the guy (I can't remember his name, sadly) sounded like Rodney! Hah! I bet the Teyla/Rodney shippers (I'm sure there are some .. right?) were totally psyched :) I also liked that John and Rodney were just wandering around randomly talking about actors who played Batman baddies (a bit of a new-writer-throws-in-a-cliche-to-hide-that-he-doesn't-know-the-characters mistake, I think, but still quite nice, if you ignore its anvil-esque nature of delivery), and I liked that it was Ronon who was all, "so, uh, where's Teyla??" And I liked that Ronon was helping Keller get awya while Rodney lay down covering fire. Coolness. Anyway, SGA is pretty cool right now. I'm happy with it all, so far.

Heroes!! Heroes has become my favourite show! :) I'm really enjoying it. It had a slow start, yes, but I have patience and I trust the writers etc. to deliver. So far I haven't been disappointed. My favourite parts, I don't mind admitting, are Matt, Mohinder and Molly. They're all just totally cute. I also like Nathan and Niki though. And Peter's finally got interesting, now that all that Ireland crap is over (thank god). Claire is probably the least interesting. Her storyline seems to just be "Claire is unhappy that she can't be herself", "Claire acts out against her parents' rules", "Claire sneaks around with her sociopath boyfriend", "Claire argues with her dad". In other words - Claire is a teenager. No, really?? But I'm hoping that the West storyline will take her somewhere a bit more interesting. So we'll wait and see on that one. The whole thing with Hiro in Japan, I did find a tiny bit boring, but I trusted that it would go somewhere important, and it totally did, so I'm happy with that. Ando is so cute. It was tragic to see Sulu meet his end though :( I like Monica, and Maya and Alejandro. And Syler is cool as always. I love that they're driving around in Claire's car. That was such a neat little touch.

A lot of people have been criticising Mohinder for telling Bob and the Company that he was working with Noah. Personally I don't blame him at all. He's so confused right now - Noah basically admitted that all he cared about was keeping Claire safe, and that he didn't give a toss about Mohinder. None of Mohinder's previous interactions with the Company have been that bad - they basically just took him in after his confidence was smashed by the whole Syler / (first) death of Peter thing, and gave him Molly to take care of. His previous interactions with the Company, when they were following him and trying to get his father's work, having Eden spy on him, as far as he knows that was all Bennet. And really, they didn't do anything terribly bad to him. His "bad guy" is Syler, who killed his father and all those other people. The Company is a bad guy for the Heroes and Mohinder is not one of them. He doesn't face the same risk of being taken in the middle of the night, tested on, controlled, killed. Molly does, and Matt does, but right now I think Mohinder is still clinging to enough naivety that he doesn't see that danger to his family. So yeah, I think it makes sense that he's told Bob what's going on with Noah. Right now, the danger seems to be coming from a). Adam and Peter, and b). the virus. The virus was released by accident (as far as Mohinder knows, anyway), and when Adam and Peter (via Maury) threatened Molly, the Company tried to help her. And then there's Niki, sitting at his shoulder telling him how the Company has heled her have a normal life (that remains to be seen). It's no wonder he's confused over exactly who really is the "bad guy".

So yeah. I'm loving Heroes a lot :) I'm pretty happy with all my TV. Life is good :)

And after all that, I'm going to go and get my new trousers adjusted so they're short enough (e.g. cut off at least 6 inches from the leg. Doh!)
