Glasgow wins race for 2014 Games

Glasgow has been chosen to host the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

There were celebrations in the Scottish city as the decision of the 71 voting nations was announced in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Glasgow had been competing against Nigerian capital Abuja for the right to host the games.

Congratulations Scotland :) What a great few years for sport the UK is going to have. Assuming it still exists.

HAH! That's very cool. What with that and the Olympics... United Kingdom, home of international sport in the 21st century. This can't be what Captain Jack meant with all that 'when it all changes' stuff, can it? Alien invasion via the field and track events!

I don't think that was quite what he was referring to, but then with Captain Jack you can never be entirely sure.

Jack's just still miffed that they haven't got competitive shagging onto the Olympic list at this point in time. He reckons a few gold medals would look nice on the walls of his office.
