Battle of the Bands! Rock on! \m/

Have just got back from the "battle of the bands" which is part of The Boychild's school's "music marathon" - 24 hrs straight of music play. They're going through the night playing music to raise some cash for charity. In the battle, the kids' bands played that there loud rock music and made the ears of old people like me bleed.

The Boychild is rather good, although I must admit a bias obviously, but he is good. They just need a singer really. They did three songs, and then another band did some stuff that was mostly bad Nirvana covers, and another (new) band did some sort of okay stuff considering they'd only been formed for three weeks, and then another lot did .. well, let's just say I decided it was time to leave. My poor ears, I can't hear a thing.

It was good though. I wish we'd done something like that at school. When we did concerts, it was the two girls who took Singing Lessons warbling through the same two Mariah Carey/Celine Dion/Whitney Houston numbers (you know the ones). Dull, much. I also wish that, when I was that age, I'd worried less and had more fun. Ah well. Too late for regrets now.

That's Andrew and Warren, from season 6 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My obsession of choice, for quite a while.

Ah hah, I was sitting here going all mathematical on my ass trying to work out whether the guy with his back to us was Ecklie. Then I worked out that whoever it was had way to much hair to be him and kind of, wandered off, I guess. :P

Lol, I’m getting majorly hyper on the Moulin Rogue soundtrack. That’s why I sound slightly more insane than usual, right now.
