BBC lines up swashbuckling shows

The BBC is developing two new family dramas featuring pirates and the Three Musketeers that could replace Doctor Who in the BBC1 Saturday teatime slot when the sci-fi series takes a "gap year" in 2009.

As reported earlier, Jay Sheppard is on his way here for an interview.

I suspect I may be disappointed, but I will report back.

ETA: I didn't actually get to see what he looked like. Probably for the best.
