Shoes, cardigans, jobs, triofic and CSI
Oct. 17th, 2004 04:54 pmWent to the shops (what I believe would be termed the "outlet mall" by those who term things) today and bought a pair of "interview" boots at vast expense (not mine) although they were in the sale, and a pair of new trainers for the gym at relatively little expense (mine) which were also on sale. Hurrah for sales! I came this close to buying a thick, long, beige cardigan in Marks and Spencer. This icon has never been more appropriate *hides face in shame* But I didn't buy it. Only because it was £17, even at the outlet store, and I am far too cheap to spend that much money, especially when I don't have any money to spend.
I'm four episodes into the second half of CSI season 3. I <3 it so much :) I really want to get seasons 1 and 2, and I'm even thinking about getting 4 on region 1, even though I'm not sure my DVD player is multiregion, but the region 1 season 4 DVDs don't come out until way into next year, and I can't wait that damned long. I need my fix. For now, though, season 3 will have to do (along with everything they're showing on Living and channel 5), because, as I mention far too frequently, I have no money.
I can't be too mean about TMO at the moment, as she bought me boots today, but she only did it because she wants me to get a job. I keep pointing out (a little too much, but really, I am reacting to her intensely annoying pushiness) that no one wants to interview me, so there's really little point having interview boots and planning interview answers and reading articles about how to be interviewed. She's also started whinging on about the bloody council tax again, and how I ought to go register as unemployed so she gets a council tax break or something. Whatever. I tune it out as soon as I figure she's on that track again.
I realise it's Trio Fic posting day (notice would've been nice, my lovelies), but I'm not confident that the next part of DM AU will be posted today. I would love, dearly love, to get it posted, but we're off to the gym in half an hour or so, and .. well, family, fic writing, not a good combination. I'll certainly try though.
I had more stuff to say, probably more whining about TMO, but I can't remember what it was, so I think you're going to be spared for now. My broadband man is coming tomorrow. Yay!! There are not words :)
