Interesting article on the BBC News website, which is basically a bit of pre-publicity for a film, but it's about the pressures astronauts face when they're stuck in space, particularly for long periods of time. In its own right it's an interesting thought, but it made me think about both SGA and BSG. I wonder if that's why they're all a bit crazed. ;)

Also, I saw the new Doctor Who ep on Sunday. It was okay, but I wasn't as bowled over as everyone else seems to be, and I'm certainly not ready to profess my undying, unquestioning love for Rose mark 2 Martha. My only real comfort was in the Dr Who Confidential that followed, in which Russell T D said that it's an unrequited love. Also when the Doctor said that he and Rose were together. That made me smile.

I'll give it a chance though. It's not bad, I may come to accept Martha, and to be fair some of the season 2 episodes were shockingly bad, so season 3 has some leeway there.

I think I must get me the last David Tennant season and watch that. Because he is the most adorable man ever. But also to know the Rose/Doctor backstory, because when he told Martha about Rose it was quite heartbreaking, even though I'd never seen it.

Did you see the first season with Chris Eccleston? That was the best. Tennant has something too, but he's not as good as Eccleston IMO. And the groundwork for the Rose/Doctor relationship is all in s1 (as you might expect..).

No, in fact, 3.01 is the first complete Doctor Who ep I've ever seen. I saw a bit of one with Eccleston and Rose looking at what might have been the end of the world or something, and a small bit of another David Tennant one, I think, where there was a place that looked out onto nothingness and people went mad. Or something. It all sounded very Douglas Adams.

Are there box sets? That might be the way to go.

There are box sets, yes. Quite expensive. If I knew how to rip and burn DVDs, I would do. I may investigate and see if it's possible. I'm sure someone's got them, anyway, and they are worth seeing. Unless you're feeling particularly rich, of course ;)
