*stares at suitcase*

Surely I need more than that ... but ... what?

ETA: I'm going to do a Serenity filtered post for folks who are going to Serenity so I can make sure everyone who's going (who wants it) has my phone number. If you don't see the post in the next few minutes, drop a comment here and I'll add you to the filter. Ta.

I haven't even started packing. Or ironing. Or anything. I know I'll get it all done in like 10 minutes and then be like ... welll ... THAT should have taken longer.

I also have my list of "things that can only be packed in the morning" ... like toothpaste and my hairbrush. Its scrawled on the side of my TV guide :D

Yeah, I stared at the room for ten minutes then threw myself onto the bed and ranted against the unfairness of the world in that I can't just wave my hand and have all the things I ought to take fly into the case and pack themselves perfectly under their own power, but then actually packing everything took about ten minutes. Like many things, the anticipation is far worse than the deed.

At least you have a list. I have lots of "..oh yeah, must remember that" things scattered about the place *g* Oh god, just remembered, have to fit food into packing too. I knew there was a reason why I thought a second bag was a good plan. I think I'm going to write myself a post-it note. That'll remind me of all these little details.

I bought a six pack of bottled water which I need to remember to split up and pack amongst my clothes. It's much less heavy that way! Other than that, I plan to pig out at breakfast every day and eat nothing else :D

Man, I wouldn't like to be carrying all that bottled water down here. Mind you, I did used to bring bottles of alcohol with me to cons, so water is clearly a far more sensible option.

It's not too bad, I did the same for the White Room and it wasn't very heavy. 'Specially with a wheelie suitcase. And then it's much lighter on the way home (/there's much more room to put things I've bought!) :D

Yes on both counts. My iPod charger isn't packed yet, but only because it's charging my iPod at the moment so it has to wait. I have my priorities sorted. I had my phone charger and iPod charger sorted before I even considered clothes ;)

I'm far too cheap for that. I'll drink water out of the tap ;)

Blarg. You do know that London tap water has already been through someone's kidneys?

I live in Farnham - I'm already drinking London water. Besides, I have no choice. It's not like I can a). afford bottled water or b). carry it home from the supermarket every day.

*shudder*

I grew up on a farm without mains water. We had a well for washing water, and a spring for drinking water. The spring water was fairly close to mineral water. I can barely stand to drink tea or coffee made from normal tap water. Also, I studied microbiology at uni, and... well... you just don't want to know.

If it was going to kill me, I'd be dead already, and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger :)
