A few things tonight.

Was all right, I suppose. I liked the storyline with Nick and Warrick - not the story itself, but them being themselves and the guy, Marty, who they were working with. He was funny. It was all about the characters, not so much about the murder, which isn't great considering that CSI as a show is meant to be about the murders, but after four seasons, and with two other shows now as well, there are only so many ways you can kill someone before you start repeating yourself, so I figure they've got to go more with the characters.

I'm a bit sick of the "Sara and Gil show!" They really need to spend some quality time with people who are not each other. Mix it up a little, kittens, keep the burn alive! Not in a swinging sense though *cough* Just it'd be nice to see an episode that wasn't "Grissom, Sara and Greg take the A story - Greg makes silly mistakes, because as we all know he is as dumb as a box of hair, and Sara/Grissom/Hodges corrects him - and Sara gets lots of screen time. Meanwhile, Nick/Warrick/Catherine [delete the name of whoever drew the 'week off' straw in the lotto that week] solve a B story that's really not hugely interesting, but you appreciate it a bit more because it's *not* the Sara/Grissom/Greg story."

This week it was Catherine's turn to be mysteriously absent, except for one scene of utter insanity. That was .. weird.

The swingers thing was silly and a bit pointless. "omg they're swingers! they lead *immoral* lives!! Therefore this *must* be related to the woman's murder!!!" Well okay, their lives are somewhat unconventional, but why does that automatically mean they're crazy nutcases with crazy nutcase children who go around seduced pervy old men and stabbing their step-mothers with barbecue forks? It makes no sense! No sense!

But I can overlook that, because CSI and I are still in that passionate loving place, and because the Greg/Hodges scene was just cute. I liked that Hodges interaction with Greg is so different to his interaction with the other CSIs, like Greg's an equal so he talks to him on a tech-to-tech basis, not pulling his punches with long words, and equally not trying to look clever or kiss up. I also liked their intermix of techy talk and banter over Mia. Hehe. I also liked Mia's OCD thing with the gloves, that was amusing to me for some reason, and I liked her and Hodges. They'd be cute together, I think, if she could get that stick out of her butt and relax a bit. What she said to Greg was utterly unforgivable, but I loved how he reacted to it, just shutting down completely and being so obviously really hurt by knowing that Sara had revealed something to Mia that was obviously told to her in confidence. I'd like to believe that Sara had a good reason, but at the same time I'm not sure I can give the writers that much credit to take such a holistic view of these things. It'll probably have been forgotten by next week, and Greg and Sara will be best pals again. Never the less, I still quite like Mia, even if I'm not sure she's going to last out a whole season, or certainly not into any 6th season that might happen. I have a vague sort of feeling that maybe they'll have Greg complete his training, be a CSI for a bit, and then around the end of the season Mia will be finding it all too much, or something, she'll have some reason to leave anyway, and Greg will go back into the lab, because I think he clearly misses the place. Of course, it might just be wishful thinking *g* I miss the lab coats, ya know? (mmmm lab coats <3)

So yeah, it was all right, but not the greatest ever and not my favourite so far. But it didn't suck like Butterflied sucked, so I shan't complain :)

I didn't talk about Atlantis or Stargate this week already, as far as I can see, so I won't go into detail, because if I had great things to say I would've said them already, but I did enjoy Stargate.

Today is TMO's birthday (and Molly Weasley's, incidentally. How cool is that?), so part of the family descended today and part will be descending tomorrow. My aunt R was here for a few hours around lunchtime, but she's coming tomorrow too because she lives fairly close by. My aunt C also came, who I haven't seen for a while, and her partner J who criticised my room, because that's sort of what she does. But whatever. I am happy with my room, so I feel no insecurities over it. Hah. My grandparents are coming tomorrow, and my aunt M. We have cake. It's all good.

And then on Monday morning I have a job interview in Chertsey (omg!) at an IT PR firm, and on Tuesday afternoon I have a job interview/test/group work session (??) in Croydon at a pensions and insurance consultancy firm. Then on Wednesday morning I have to go and sign on, and then I'm going up to work with my aunt for the afternoon. And on Thursday, I am going to collapse from exhaustion and sleep until next Sunday *g*
